Beside the dead end minor road that serves the hamlet of Whale, this high garden wall is built of the local limestone which outcrops nearby. The King George V ‘lampbox’ type postbox has a daily Royal Mail collection Monday to Saturday (photograph Image). There is an Ordnance Survey cut benchmark below and to the right of the postbox on the large stone at the base of the wall (detail photograph Image).
