This West Riding CC milestone is outside No. 10 Skipton Road in Steeton. When first recorded for the Milestone Society in 2002, the small piece from the left, back edge of the attachment was already broken off. The legends on the left face are SKIPTON/6¼ MILES/SETTLE/21¾ MILES/KENDAL/51 MILES. There are raised lines between the place names Although there is no foundry name on the bevel, there are other milestones in this series that are forged in the same way with WILLIAM TOWLER/GLOBE FOUNDRY/LEEDS on the bevel. It is Grade II listed 1267351.
