This cafe stands in a prominent location on the corner of John Street and Station Road. For well over 50 years this property, along with the adjoining property in Station Road, was occupied by the family-run Laverick Cycles. Well-known local cyclist Gus Laverick continued to operate the business, ultimately on a reduced scale in the Station Road property, until his retirement in the early part of the 21st century.
