In Ely it's possible to play cricket in (or, more correctly, at) Paradise, as City of Ely CC is based at the Paradise Sports Centre. Appropriately, the Cathedral and its wonderful octagon form the backdrop to views from the Deacons Lane side of the ground. Camden (Cambridge), here batting towards the end of a sunny afternoon, did not have a very edenic day as the home side won comfortably, despite some spirited late-order batting from the visitors. (Spot the ball, which has just beaten the batsman outside the off stump.)
