This area is fenced, this photo being taken through the railings. It is earmarked for development as a new container port by Hutchison Ports (UK) Limited, the owners of nearby Felixstowe and Harwich International ports. http://www.hict.co.uk/content/home/main.asp. The sign warns of soft sand and mud and that there is 'no unauthorised access'. In the distance is Harwich International Port at Parkeston Quay.
