The waters here flow by quietly, de-stressing after plunging over the famous waterfall upstream no doubt, Pistyll Rhaedr, the tallest in Wales, where they soak off the moorland and plummet 240 feet or so over the waterfall lip to the valley below. Here the waters seem to be recovering and getting their equilibrium back (to my mind anyway), as they flow along normally again.
