The bottom of the steam heated copper where the wort is boiled and hopped prior to being drained via the hop back, cooled and sent to the fermenting vessels. Arkell's is a family owned traditional Victorian tower brewery and this building dates from 1861. This is the first year the company has allowed guided public tours and they are highly recommended (by me).
