The nameplate on the left appears to say "Caggy's Yard Bridge"; this is one of the characteristic lattice-patterned towpath bridges which are quite commonplace along the Birmingham Main Line canal. It would have been cast in the 1850s, quite likely in a local foundry in Tipton or nearby. Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101077151-towpath-bridge-over-entrance-to-canal-basin-approximately-150-metres-west-of-watery-lane-birmingham-canal-birmingham-level-tipton-green-ward#.ZAycq3bP3IU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1077151 in 1987. The boatyard originally served as a goods transhipment depot to move materials from canal to railway and vice-versa.
