Grey granite slabs carved with information about the location and orientation of the Antonine Wall. The three on the left of the road (Cowgate) mark the positions of the inner line of the rampart; the outer line of the rampart and the outer line of the ditch. On the other side of the road a fourth slab shows the position of the outer line of the mound. See Image for an illustration of the cross-section of the wall.
