An impressive timber-framed manor house with close studding, a status symbol when the house was built. Pevsner describes the house as: 'A fine house, probably built for John Markye after 1602, altered in the late C17, again c.1885, probably for Thomas Blake’. The building is Grade II listed, see: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1349261?section=official-list-entry Today it is a business headquarters.
