Blackhill Quarry, Bicton Common

The quarries lie within an area of Pebblebed Heath, and were worked for the sand and pebble gravel of the Triassic Chester Formation. The area is now being restored back to a heathland habitat, a process expected to take until 2030. https://www.pebblebedheaths.org.uk/hello-world-2-2-3-3/
