This smartly refurbished property is at the top of Grub Street, by St Mary's Church. This used to be the Royal Oak public house. A local person has told me that it was more of a restaurant than a pub in its final years, and closed circa 1995/1996. https://www.search.staffspasttrack.org.uk/Details.aspx?&ResourceID=37020&ThemeID=454 https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=Royal+Oak+High+Offley&iax=images&ia=images&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fwhatpub-new.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com%2Fimages%2Fpubs%2F800x600%25402x%2FSTA-2953-37538-royal-oak-high-offley.jpg
