Originally built in the early 18th century as a house, and refronted in brick in the 19th, likely at the same time the shopfront was added. It was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101271431-22-abbey-foregate-shrewsbury#.Y9I1M3bP02w & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1271431 in 1969.
