I had got lost and was now back on the correct route, having bimbled across this farmyard and around this massive field. I disturbed no one and met no one but saw the farmer and his wife, two lovely whippets (I think) and enjoyed my enforced detour. I get lost more than I care to admit, often getting distracted, missing a waymarker, fingerpost or obvious path but sometimes routes give out, vanish and are obstructed, or even vandalised making it easy to miss a key navigational component... The bimbles become as enjoyable as the intended route.
