The Market House

Ilminster's historic and geographic heart is based around the large space at the road junctions and the Market House. The stone structure is open plan but covered, where the business of the markets was conducted. It was rebuilt in around 1813, but also attended to in 1982 and in 2009, thanks to local council grants. Grade II listed, excepting the festive decorations. There is also a fading benchmark on the sunlit near corner - see Image
