This photograph shows three tombs that were grade II listed in February 1988, situated in the churchyard at St. Mary church. The tombs are dedicated to (from furthest away) Thomas Andrew Knight of Elton Hall, who lived from 1759 to 1838 that had a career as a horticulturist and botanist; Thomas Andrew Knight II, who passed away in 1827, and Richard Payne Knight of Downton Castle, who lived from 1751 to 1824 that had a career as a classical scholar, connoisseur, archaeologist and numismatist, and he designed the Gothic revival style castle at Downton Castle in 1772 at the age of twenty-one. These tombs are in the Neo-Classical style.
