Autumn leaves and winter snow in Charminster, Bournemouth

This image was taken on a cold December day. Leaves were still falling from the trees and there had been a dusting of snow overnight. The immediate foreground was sheltered by a tree, which protected it from the snowfall. The road is Castle Lane West, part of the A3060 which passes through Bournemouth's northern outskirts. A cycle lane runs between the pavement and the main carriageway. Tyre tracks in the snow show that several cyclists have braved the wintry conditions.
