Dating from about 1790, this is the former canal manager's house. It is sited close to the Hamiltonhill Basin, which was originally the terminus of the Glasgow Branch of the Forth and Clyde Canal. It is Category C listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB33609. Scottish Canals have recently been restoring the building, which had been empty and unused for many years.
