Fearsome things, golfers, likely to attack with a three wood at any moment. Footpaths crossing golf fairways are not uncommon but walkers are usually advised to beware of golf balls. Quite often a bell is provided to warn the golfers not to take a shot until the walkers are out of the way but there is nothing here. So footpath users have to take their chances and cross as quickly as they can. Not that things get any easier on the other side. The path disappears down a narrow passage between two houses on Hainault Road which is not at all obvious - actually requiring the walker to pass across a patch of what appears to be a private garden.
