The Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1041733?section=official-list-entry Bridge End House dates back to the early 18th century. Pevsner [Buildings of England - Northumberland], described this as the best house in the village. The lower two floors have an original eaves cornice above, whilst the third storey was added later.
