Neighbourhood Officer Details
I have 23 years’ experience in policing – having worked in a variety of roles across Birmingham and the Black Country.
I have been an inspector for a number of years and my heart has drawn me back in neighbourhood policing where I am happy and proud to work within Ladywood West Constituency. I lead a team of five Sergeants and a number of PCs and PCSOs who cover the areas of Jewellery Quarter; Ladywood; Soho Road and Winson Geen.
Ladywood West Constituency is indeed a vibrant and historical place to work. There is unique art for all to be seen upon entering Ladywood depicting a French tightrope walker who crossed a tightrope over our lovely Edgbaston Reservoir in 1873. We have the Jewellery Quarter which is an urban industrial area with a fascinating history of jewellery and metal ware production in a unique built environment. On top of that we have the famous home to a variety of lovely shops – Soho Road and surrounding ward. Finally, we have Winson Green which some may associate with Winson Green prison but which also includes a variety of historic hospitals and buildings, some of which are grade two listed such as Spring Hill Library built in 1893.
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the features and many diverse communities of Winson Green who pull together to help each other and which my teams and I want to continue to work closely with.
