This is an interesting photograph, for it shows (centre left) some of the arches of the very old London & Blackwall Railway which were made use of when the DLR was constructed. As we get nearer to the camera, the trackbed has been raised to a point (just below the car) where the old viaduct had to be demolished and a new one constructed on modern pillars. Note that this view is no longer available owing to the erection of new buildings.
