This pub closed suddenly in February 2018, according to the local press in 'mysterious circumstances'. This is a shame because it was conveniently located for the station. An application to convert the building into flats was apparently withdrawn and the pub remains boarded up with the external signs still in situ. Unfortunately, the adjacent Railway Tavern has now also closed down.
