Barfrestone church is dedicated to St Nicholas, a fine example of a Norman church. The church is Grade I listed, see: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1070306?section=official-list-entry Simon Jenkins in his book 'England's Thousand Best Churches' describes this church as the 'Kilpeck of the south'. Kilpeck is a Norman church in Herefordshire Image
