Edinburgh's Old Town is home to an extraordinary number of shops aimed at the tourist trade. They all sell souvenirs - fridge magnets seem to have displaced postcards as the low cost items of choice - and many sell a range of cashmere and tartan clothing. Some sell kilts and bagpipes. Heritage of Scotland on Lawnmarket is one of the larger examples.
