Known better as Glasgow Prestwick, this airport handles mainly cargo and budget flights. Regular airlines include Ryanair, LTE and Wizz Air, and cargo craft from Air France, British Airways, Evergreen, Atlas Air, and Singapore Airlines. The airport is also one of only two in the UK (along with Stansted) which is designated for "at risk" flights, and so sees instances of diverted flights landing here after bomb threats etc. More trivially, Prestwick Airport is the only place in the UK that Elvis Presley set foot in, when his US Army plane landed to refuel. A star in the terminal building commemorates this fact.
