Wellhead at Yorke Almshouses (Forthampton)

This timber-framed structure was built for Joseph Yorke by William Burges in 1865; grade II listed in August 1985. When I first saw this building, I thought this was a lychgate for St. Mary the Virgin parish church (it is west of Yorke Almshouses).
