The south-west corner of a large block of 185 flats built in 1934-5, architect Joseph Emberton. The development included an underground garage, filling station (still in use, run by Shell), restaurant and shops. The convenience store that was a Spar in 2019 Image is now under the Londis branding. Listed grade II (list entry 1323725) as 'one of the most impressive Moderne style complexes of flats built in central London'.
