As seen here, the modern brick and ashlar stone building is a 1920s addition to the cityscape, built by the county architect between 1921-1928. It's attached to the much older Image at the far end, and the interior includes a re-used 16th century fireplace together with decorative tiling and a cast-iron fireback.
