The new cafe at the corner of Drymen Road and New Kirk Road is closed on this occasion due to staff illness. The road name sign shows that New Kirk Road was previously called New Kirk Square. It was also previously called Stewart Place. The building is Category C listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB48594.
