The rather unusual no 9 Shoplatch, which lies on the corner with Market Street, is thought to have been built in the early 19th century, probably as a commercial business rather than residential. It was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101254853-9-shoplatch-shrewsbury#.YrK-CXbMI2w & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1254853 in 1972.
