I disturbed the ewes and lambs here when I emerged from the wood behind me, Highland Rough, having lost any footpath line, but luckily emerging not far from a stile and leaping the fence to land two footed in their erstwhile peaceful pasture like a prowling lone wolf. The flock took a look at me and as one rose and ran down field and through a gap into the next field. I felt really bad about it. Many of the ewes were limping and they anxiously shepherded their timid lambs away from this interloper. Unfortunately I was soon to be heading into their pasture once more, as the footpath was badly overgrown and I deemed it unpassable and decided to head into the field to rejoin it later.
