On the south side of Ringinglow Road outside Number 153 is the 3 miles from Sheffield stone. This is on the Sheffield to Chapel-en-Le Frith turnpike first enacted in 1758. A concrete lamppost used to be next to it but a new black post has been set up a short distance away, part of the refurbishment scheme for Sheffield's roads, pavements and lighting.
