Seen from St Mary's Church Gardens. The curious mix of architectural styles is explained by the fact that the church suffered a direct hit on the third night of the blitz - the only part that survived was the 18th century steeple. The body of the church was rebuilt in 1956. The small tree in blossom towards the bottom right hand corner of the picture was planted to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, 27th January 2003.
