The north front of the house. The house was being used for the filming of an episode of the TV series 'The Crown'. Burghley House is a large country house situated one mile south of Stamford, Lincolnshire. Built in the 16th century, the exterior largely retains its Elizabethan appearance. Most of the interiors have been remodelled, mostly before 1800. The park was laid out by Capability Brown. The house is open to the public on a seasonal basis.
