The lane is shown on the OS map with the green dots signifying 'other routes with public access', i.e. not a right of way but where walkers are permitted. It appears to have had a setted surface, only short sections of which remain. It forms the boundary between Bradford district (left) and Calderdale (right) as far as the bend in the photo, where the boundary turns right along the line of Blackshaw Beck. After recent rain the beck had flooded the track.
