Track up to the hillfort

In the depths of what is now a large forest area is an elevated part of the landscape, associated with the Mendip Hills. An Iron Age hillfort was founded and the steep track leads up to the western end of the univalate fort. Little significant traces of the earthworks remain as the woods have encroached in the time since it was left, but the ramparts can still be made out here.
