War Department Boundary Marker set semi-sunken in a stone wall on the east side of the junction of St Oswald Street and Bowerham Road, Lancaster. Formerly inscribed W ↑ D / No 7 but has been effaced. It marked the boundary of the former Bowerham Barracks (King's Own Royal Regiment, c.1873 to 1959), now a campus of the University of Cumbria. Milestone Society National ID: LA_WDLANC07em
