The Craster Arms in the centre of Beadnell displays the coat of arms of the Craster family. The Crasters have ancient roots in Northumberland that date back at least to the 11th century. The building itself has an interesting history, incorporating a 16th century tower. The main structure is 18th century and it is known to have been trading as the Bull Inn by 1818. It is now grade II* listed.
