A fire in 1405 destroyed an earlier church and St.John Baptist's was entirely rebuilt and Perpendicular throughout. It once had a south aisle and the arcades can be clearly seen. Sadly no longer a place of regular worship, but given a new lease of life by an enthusiastic group of hand-bell ringers and cared for by the Redundant Churches Fund.
