Opened in 1862 by the Shrewsbury & Welshpool Railway on the line between those places, this line was jointly owned by the Great Western and London & North Western Railway. The station closed to passengers in 1960. View east towards Yockleton and Shrewsbury. The station house is now a private residence. The single platform was to the left of the track. Until 1994, a second track here allowed trains to pass on the otherwise single line.
