The old mill at Harperley

This stands behind the former Harperley Hotel. It was built in 1817, according to local historian Fred Wade, by a Mr Hobson. His name can be seen on the door lintel on the left. It was a corn mill driven by water from the Kyo Burn, and is shown on the 1861 O S map.
