A large and striking painting of a tiger awaits visitors on Regent Street. Curiously, the tiger and its building are modern arrivals; in the past this was a longer and narrower lane called White Horse Street, which connected to the High Street. It became closed off in the early twentieth century and renamed Wellington Place.
