A sundial stands in Clarence Park, although it's not clear if the gnomon is typical one. The 200kg piece of Portland Stone was crafted by Tom Langmead and John Hopkin, and presented to (the then ruling) Woodspring Council in 1976; it was left as a memento of the National Association of Master Masons after a conference was held in the town.
