"One of several 1930s ‘moderne’ style tram shelters gifted to the city by the hosiery factory manufacturer Robert Rowley JP. The shelters were designed by the Leicester architects Bedingfield & Grundy for Crittal. The shelters add to the appreciation of Leicester's transport heritage and the brief success of the city's tram network." [Local Heritage Asset Register, Leicester city Council]
