Footbridge over the Derwent

This is known as the Papermill Footbridge, from the former mill here at Shotley Grove. Its predecessor was washed away in a flood on Sept 6th 2008, and this steel girder bridge was erected in 2011. It is higher up above the river to make it safe from floods.
