My Explorer map, dated 1997, shows the building on the left as a post office, but the latest edition does not. Unfortunate, as I had been hoping to make use of it. It is shown as "The Old Forge" on the 1:1250 sheet, in memory of a function it must have held for rather longer than that of post office. The A354 sweeps by to cross the Winterborne at the foot of the hill.
