Sandwort tuft

Tufts of what appear to be Sea Sandwort are abundant on the rough sand above the tide-line. This one has a dried frond of Ascophyllum seaweed draped over it to confuse observers. The limestone cobbles here are mostly material used as a rock armour, although similar rocks make a line of cliffs some hundreds of metres inland.
