This small bridge is known locally as Ballindreen Bridge. It is approximately 50m from the junction of the Ballindreen, Damhead and Newmills roads and this may be the reason for its name. It also lies between the townlands of Ballindreen Irish and Ballindreen Scotch, another possible explanation?
