Taken from close to the same spot as this view https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4538996 from 2015. Remarkably little has changed in the intervening period although the range of shops in the left of that picture appears to be at least partially new since my view. A.A. was one of two consortia of small bus operators in west Ayrshire, in this instance serving principally the Ayr to Ardrossan corridor. By the 1970s, the original 7 operators had reduced to three, and this particular bus was operated by Young's of Ayr. UAG935 is a Leyland Leopard with Northern Counties bodywork, bought new in 1962. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
